I'm still drawing the homes in my Queen Anne neighborhood. I drew this house near the Queen Anne Community Center just for fun. A week or so later I was walking Willa past the house and saw the owners up on the front porch. I called up, "Mind if I show you something?"

I showed them the drawing on my phone and they offered to buy the original, just like that. If only that happened every day!

For a change from my macro views, I thought I'd draw a close-up and these flowers caught my eye just a block from home. It's actually a composite of two plants from the same garden.

Mixed in with my printer paper I found a decades-old stack of animation I don't remember drawing! If you want to see it I've posted it in three parts on my Facebook page at Steven.reddy1

This sketch of the Discovery Park Lighthouse was drawn during my illustration class at Gage Academy as a demo while students worked on their own drawings. In addition to Illustrative Drawing and Urban Sketching, I've added a new class, The Sketchbook Habit.

In my previous email, I mentioned my dream of buying an all-electric cargo van and crossing the country with Willa, sketching with The Urban Sketchers. The response was encouraging. I'm going to get a map and start pinning all your invitations and see if a clear route suggests itself. Thanks again! I look forward to meeting and sketching with you.

A minimalist at heart, I don't own a lot of clutter, but I do have several boxes of my books I'd rather not store during my trip. To help clear them out, here's a code to enter at check-out from my etsy store for a 40% discount:

BIGTHANKS

Unfortunately, I can't discount the international shipping rates so it's for domestic orders only.

Okay, back to work!
