Back to My Roots.
Hey, there, on-line friends and readers. Thanks for stopping by.
If you've read my books (etsy.com/shop/StevenReddy) you know that I started sketchbook journaling in high school forty years ago. I drew candidly, myopically, without expectations that anyone would read them. Those books are messy, inconsistent, embarrassing but also experimental and occasionally I hit on something that I thought was kind of cool.
Now that I draw for a living, it's harder to draw for myself. It seems a waste of time to scribble something that will never see the light of day. But I miss goofing around, just drawing to see what happens. With that in mind I went back to the well, so to speak, and have been drawing for myself in a hardbound-book, using both sides of the pages directly in ink for my own amusement and catharsis.

These kinds of pages are often indulgent and TMI, but if they paid the bills, they're all I'd do between now and the final curtain.
Until then I'm still drawing on location:

Thanks for looking and thanks for telling a friend.
Back to work!
