Symposium, Two New Books, Upcoming Classes and Workshops
Hey, Everybody!
The Urban Sketchers 8th Annual Symposium was a terrific experience. I met cool people, loved Chicago, and did a lot of drawings, of course.

My book for Monicelli Press (with working title Everyday Sketching and Drawing) has entered the design stage and is slated for an April 2018 release. You can read the synopsis and even pre-order it here: monacellipress.com
My self-published book, the third in a series of Sketchbook Journals, Perfect World, is also finished and going to the printer next week. As soon as I get the proof I'll be taping the Kickstarter video. I'd hoped to start the campaign in September but haste makes waste! I'm really proud of it. It's in glorious, high-contrast black and white. Printing in grayscale means it'll be inexpensive enough for everyone to have a copy. Here's the cover:

I have back-to-back art shows lined up from October to August, so that'll keep me busy painting these large scale watercolors:

Already working on book #5 and I'm going to be teaching after-school drawing classes for the students of Lawton Elementary and I'm still daily drawing around town:

Too much to do, so back to work!
